It's been a while, but I haven't been idle. I've been sending my novel "Protos Mythos: Dawn of the Dark Age" to various agents and publishers. Hopefully soon I'll have some good news to share!
In the mean time, check out my latest news:
My two esoteric poems on two letters of the Hebrew alphabet have been reprinted in the spring issue (Volume 2, Issue 14) of the Journal of the Western Mystery Tradition, now meaning you can read them online as well as in paper in the old Hidden Spirit magazine. So why not check them out?
Aleph
Teth
You can also check out some interesting articles, book reviews, and other items on the Occult Revival of the 1800s via the link to the JWMT above.

My short esoteric poem, entitled "Aleph", which was published in Issue #2 of Hidden Spirit Journal, has been accepted for a second run (in electronic format, that is) in the Journal of the Western Mystery Tradition. It should appear in the next issue, which will be out in about four or so months.
I got the acceptance over a week ago, but have been very busy with my final edits of my fantasy novel, "Protos Mythos", which is shaping up nicely. I'll keep you posted about the progress soon...

TheOneRing.net recently hosted a "Hobbit Pride" contest, calling for poetry, essays, art, etc. from fans of the Hobbit, which had its 70th anniversary recently. I entered and won one of the slots. I thought I'd share the poem here:

So there's some good news about my fantasy novel, "Protos Mythos: Dawn of the Dark Age", for I am nearly finished my preliminary edits of it. A few more things to go, which may take another couple of weeks (particularly since I need to fill in some gaps and have limited time available, due to work), and then I'll be getting some reader comments from a few people who want a preview of the work before its published, and are also willing to devote some time to a critical appraisal of the book.
So, here's where you come in. I'm offering a lucky one or two of you the chance to read the novel before it comes out if you are willing to a) provide reader feedback on your general enjoyment of the piece; b) constructive criticism on the story, characters, mood, writing, etc., including pointing out any inconsistencies, glaring grammatical or typographical errors (which, I dare say, should be non-existent, hopefully, since I've gone over the book a number of times, as have others), and any plot holes you might encounter ; and c) keep the material confidential; that is, if you receive a copy of the manuscript, you alone read and comment on it, and you do not lend or give it to others without the prior permission of the author, and you do not share extracts from or copy characters, storylines, phrases, etc. from the work (remember that this is a strictly-copyrighted business, and I am more than willing to enforce these laws should it be deemed necessary).
So, now that the heavy stuff is out of the way, do any of you feel like reading a great epic novel? The story follows Ifferon, a cowardly cleric who lives in a small monastery off a coastal town. He is the last in the direct bloodline of the dead god, Telm, who battled evil many generations prior, and he is destined, many say, to follow in the footsteps of this god, to end the summoning of the enemy god that Telm imprisoned in the Underworld before his death. The trouble is, Ifferon doesn't want to live out his destiny. He has seen the darkness and wants nothing to do with it. He is not a hero and never wants to be, and, truth be said, who would want to be? This is, indeed, the very reason why he became a cleric, for he is not truly a Cleric of Olagh (Olagh being another name for Telm), but uses this hermetic career-choice as a reason to hide away. It is only when his coastal town is attacked by a fleet of enemy ships (intent on slaying him before he gets to live up to his blood and spoil their devious plans) that he finds himself on another path of flight, this time, however, right into the enemy's hands. Will courage conquer fear? Will he use his sacred blood to end the call of the enemy god, or will he meet his own end, spilling that blood on the earth he has abandoned? Read "Protos Mythos: Dawn of the Dark Age" to find out.
Sales pitch over. Who's in? ;)

P.S. Is that a better blurb than the one I gave before? It has more detail, but I was thinkin that "short and sweet" was good, which gave birth to the previous one.

I thought it might be high time that I shared a little more about my fantasy series (and, indeed, world) Protos Mythos. While I have shared a rough map of one of the lands within this world, I haven't really revealed much about the story itself. So, without further adieu, here is the short blurb for the first book, "Dawn of the Dark Age":
Does this make you want to read the story? Let me know what you think.

A cleric who is the last in the bloodline of a dead god is forced to face his destiny when an enemy fleet attacks his coastal town, sending him on an epic journey around a war-torn world so that he can end the summoning of the enemy god - little knowing that the actions taken on this journey are playing right into the enemy's hands.

Issue 9/10 of Haruah Magazine is now in print, and you can get a copy of it here. It contains my poem "Inner Skies", along with many other poems and stories of excellence. You can also get a full-colour version, which is slightly more expensive, but it's well worth it for the beautiful photography contained therein. So what are you waiting for everyone? Go order your copy today!

Some of you may know that I've been working on a fantasy novel for a number of years now, and I wanted to say that it's nearing completion (in its final umpteenth rewrite with its final umpteenth edit soon to come), so I thought I should share a little about it. I'll save a blurb (short description of the story found on the back cover) for a later post, but to whet your appetite, here's a rudimentary image of the map of Protos Mythos (the world my story is set in) centring on the region known as Boror, where the story starts (and where most of the characters of the story come from). As a further note of interest, the very beginning of the story starts at a monastery at Larksong Beach. Want to know more? Feel free to comment.
Copyright, etc., goes without question, but I trust most of my readers already know about that ;)

My poem "Morimur" has been accepted for publication in Haruah Magazine. The contract is signed and away, so hopefully that will be in print soon (I am still waiting for the issue of Haruah with "Inner Skies" to come out in actual print, as opposed to just the digital version, so I expect the print version containing "Morimur" will be some day away too). I'll keep you posted.
